Today, the “South” Regional Directorate of the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri inaugurated the headquarters of the Cahul Mobile Intervention Company, a unit established to enhance public safety and order in the region.
The event was attended by the General Commander of the GIC, Dumitru Scurtu, the Consul General of Romania in Cahul, Gabriel Nicola, the Government Representative of the Republic of Moldova in the region, Igor Șevcenco, His Grace Father Veniamin, Bishop of Southern Bessarabia, the President of Cahul District, Pavel Groza, and the Mayor of Cahul Municipality, Nicolae Dandiș, who all delivered congratulatory messages.
The new unit is equipped according to modern standards and will strengthen the operational capabilities of the carabinieri, ensuring a rapid response in emergencies and providing enhanced protection for citizens in the southern part of the country.
